The market is entirely driven by headlines right now, but if you want to trade effectively, you have to read between the lines.

President Trump has signaled a "yes" from the USA, and a lot of traders jumped the gun, assuming the conflict is over and the market is about to rip. 

But here is the reality I was looking at: there has been zero clear confirmation from Iranian leadership.

Until both sides agree, it's just a rumor. The actual truth is found in the commodities market. 

Oil prices were still ticking up this morning, and the relationship right now is simple - when oil goes up, the SPY goes down.

Because I look at the actual mechanics of the market instead of just trading a hopeful headline, I targeted the downside. 

I alerted my Market Navigator members that I was buying the SPY March 24 $655 puts at $4.04.  My goal was a quick, clean 20% to 30% gain.
