Morning traders,
Day after day after day we talk about the doom and gloom of tariffs and how rocky markets are.
BUT, there are actually 3 things that I find super exciting RIGHT NOW about the markets and they will be helping me trade the SPY going forward and they are….
1. AI & Tech Boom 2.0
AI-related companies are still crushing it. With generative AI continuing to reshape industries, companies like NVIDIA, AMD, and smaller AI startups are seeing strong interest. Investors are also watching for new IPOs in the AI infrastructure space—think data centers, chips, and even AI-focused cybersecurity.
2. Rate Cuts Might Be Coming
The Fed has hinted at potential interest rate cuts in 2025 as inflation continues to cool. Matter of fact we just saw better than expected numbers on CPI and PPI data last week! That’s got growth stocks—especially in tech and real estate—perking up. Lower rates usually mean cheaper borrowing and higher valuations, so the market’s getting a little bullish.
3. Retail Investors Are Back (with a twist)
Retail investing is making a comeback, but it’s not just about meme stocks anymore. People are getting into fractional shares, thematic ETFs, and even AI-powered trading tools. There’s more education, strategy, and community-driven investing than we’ve seen in a while, and it's changing the landscape.
So, how will I be using this to trade today?
Well, I’ll be watching to see if the tech stocks such as NVDA, MSFT, AAPL, AMZN and META can turn higher this morning, if so I will be looking for SPY calls to trade, but if not then it’s SPY puts in the morning.
