$10k Challenge w/Jeff Williams
💥LIVE EVENT THURSDAY @ 1PM ET💥
Come learn JW’s plan of attack for his $10k Challenge - he’s off to a great start!
Good morning all and happy Wednesday. Today will be PACKED with big data from the Fed to big tech earnings, so be on watch for big market moves.
One stock I love today is MARA and it’s based on their recent huge win on earnings, here is a breakdown.
Q2 2025 Key Financial Results
Revenue: $238 million — up 64% year-over-year, significantly exceeding Wall Street estimates of around $228–$228.9 million.
Net Income: $808 million — a massive beat, especially compared to estimates near breakeven or a modest loss; translates to a large per-share gain rather than the expected modest EPS around $0.11
Bitcoin Holdings: ~49,950 BTC (up ~170% YoY), now valued near $6 billion (at current BTC price)
Mining Metrics: 2,358 BTC mined (~3% QoQ increase), energized hash rate at 57.4 EH/s (up ~6% QoQ), with a target of reaching 75 EH/s by year-end
Performance vs. Expectations
The results represented a dramatic upside surprise across the board:
Revenue beat analyst estimates by roughly $10 million.
EPS swung from expected slight loss to strong net income.
Management highlighted how they "transformed post-halving economics into net income growth by over 500%" and emphasized cost discipline and scaling efforts
Strategic Highlights & Operational Context
Revenue surge was largely driven by a ~50% increase in average Bitcoin price during the quarter
Hash rate efficiency improvements and expanded energy partnerships across the U.S., Paraguay, and UAE helped drive margins and output efficiency
Bitcoin HODL strategy and treasury holdings reinforce long-term value retention.
Market Reaction
Despite the strong results, Marathon's shares dipped slightly just before close but then rose ~4% in after-hours trading, reflecting solid investor confidence in its operational execution.
I’ll be watching to see if MARA can reclaim it’s spot near $20 dollars as the week goes on but it will need some help from Bitcoin pricing which has been fairly stable this week. If Bitcoin can push past $120k again then I think MARA has a legitimate shot at $20 per share area.
What’s on your radar today?
